This Privacy Policy explains how Oun Management Corporation (“Oun,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information in connection with the Oun software platform and related services available at app.oun.homes and its subdomains, our websites, our mobile applications for iOS and Android, and other offerings that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). Oun provides an artificial-intelligence-powered real estate workflow platform.
Disclosure Regarding Customer Data. This Policy does not apply to personal information we process on behalf of our brokerage and business customers under a written agreement with them (“Customer Data”). Our customers’ own privacy policies govern their collection and use of Customer Data, and our processing of Customer Data is governed by our contracts with them (under which Oun acts as a service provider or processor), not by this Policy. Questions about Customer Data should be directed to the relevant customer. This Policy governs information for which Oun acts as the controller, including information about individual users who connect their own Google Account or other third-party accounts to the Services.
Disclosure Regarding the Use of Google API Services. If you connect your Google Account to Oun, we access certain Gmail and Google Calendar data through Google API Services to provide the Services — including reading email in your Gmail inbox to surface client, transaction, and scheduling context for the Oun assistant (where you enable email features), drafting and sending email at your direction, and creating and updating calendar events on your behalf. We do not read the contents of your Google Calendar. Your email may contain sensitive information, such as the names of your contacts, private communications, and financial information. You control which permissions you grant and can revoke access at any time (see “Deletion and Revoking Access”).
Limited Use. Oun’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as described in the “Limits on Use of Your Google User Data” section below. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models; we do not sell Google user data; and we do not use it for advertising.
Account and Contact Information. Name, email address, phone number, brokerage affiliation, real estate license information, and account credentials.
Payment Information. Billing is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive billing contact and subscription details but do not store full payment card numbers.
Content and Communications. Documents, transaction records, messages, and other content you create, upload, or send through the Services, and your communications with us (such as support requests).
Voice Recordings. If you use voice dictation, your audio is processed by a speech-to-text provider to produce a transcript. We do not retain the audio recording.
When you connect your Google Account, we access the Gmail and Google Calendar data described in Section 2. We request access in context and request the minimum permissions necessary for the features you enable.
If you or your organization connect third-party services — such as Microsoft 365 (email and calendar), transaction management platforms (for example, SkySlope or Dotloop), CRM platforms (for example, Follow Up Boss), e-signature services, or messaging platforms (for example, Slack) — we receive, with your authorization, the data needed to provide that integration (for example, transaction records, documents, participant contact details, and messages), and we use it solely to provide the features of that integration. You can disconnect an integration at any time.
Device Data. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, and settings.
Usage Data. Pages and screens viewed, features used, and access times.
Push Notification Tokens. If you enable notifications, we store the token needed to deliver them to your device.
Cookies. We use essential cookies and similar local-storage technologies only — to run the Services and keep you signed in. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
Our Mobile Apps. Our iOS and Android apps access your microphone only if you choose to use voice dictation, and send notifications only if you enable them. They do not collect your location or contacts, do not use advertising identifiers, and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
When you connect your Google Account, and only with the permissions you grant, Oun accesses certain Gmail and Google Calendar data to provide the features you enable.
Reading Gmail. Where you enable email features, the Oun assistant reads messages and metadata in your Gmail inbox to surface relevant client, transaction, and scheduling context. We store copies of email messages that relate to transactions you manage in the Services; other messages are not retained.
Sending Email. At your direction, we draft and send email from your address on your behalf.
Calendar Events. At your direction, we create, update, and cancel events on your calendar and send invitations on your behalf. We do not read or store the other contents of your Google Calendar.
We request access in context, request the least-privileged access that supports each feature, and will update this Policy and re-prompt you for consent before accessing any category of Google user data not described here.
We use personal information to provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services; to communicate with you and provide support; to process transactions through our payment processor; to comply with legal obligations; and to protect the rights, property, and safety of you, Oun, and others. Use of Google user data is further limited as described in Section 4. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
To the extent Google user data is personal information under this Policy, it is subject to this Policy. In addition, notwithstanding anything else in this Policy, our use of Google user data is subject to the following restrictions, consistent with the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements: (a) Google user data is used only to provide or improve prominent, user-facing features of the Services; (b) it is transferred to others only as necessary to provide or improve those features (with your consent), to comply with applicable law, as part of security operations, or as part of a merger or acquisition after obtaining your explicit prior consent; (c) it is not used for advertising of any kind, including retargeted, personalized, or interest-based advertising; and (d) it is not transferred or sold to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers, and is not used to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
Humans do not read Google user data except: with your affirmative agreement to view specific data; where necessary for security purposes (such as investigating a bug or abuse); to comply with applicable law; or where the data has been aggregated and de-identified for internal operations.
We do not use Google user data (including derived, aggregated, or anonymized data) to develop, train, or improve generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. Google user data is processed solely to produce outputs shown to you. Any general model-training provisions in our Terms and Conditions do not apply to Google user data.
We use third-party AI providers to power AI features of the Services. We disclose content to these providers strictly as needed to generate the outputs you request. Google user data is not shared with any provider that is permitted to use it for model training.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only as described below.
Service Providers and Sub-Processors. We share personal information with service providers that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only as needed to provide the Services — including cloud hosting and infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, including Firebase), payment processing (Stripe), artificial-intelligence service providers, and e-signature (DocuSign), as well as other providers that support the Services in areas such as email and calendar delivery, and operations and monitoring. We require third parties that receive personal data from us to provide protections for that data consistent with this Policy.
Integrations You Connect. At your direction, we share information with the third-party services you connect — for example, syncing a transaction to your organization’s transaction management platform.
Professional Advisors. Lawyers, accountants, and other advisors, where necessary.
Authorities and Others. Where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
Business Transferees. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — and for Google user data, only after obtaining your explicit prior consent.
We may also share personal information with others with your consent or at your direction.
The Services are operated in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. We use reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, application-layer encryption of stored OAuth tokens, need-to-know access controls, and logging and monitoring. Our Google integration is subject to Google’s OAuth verification requirements, and we will not enable access to restricted Gmail data before completing the verification Google requires, including any independent security assessment. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for tax, legal, or regulatory purposes). When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Data received from a connected integration is retained no longer than necessary to provide the integration’s features and is deleted as described below when you disconnect.
Delete Your Account. Accounts are provisioned by your organization. To delete your account and associated personal data, email contact@oun.homes with the subject “Delete My Data.” We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, except for information we are required by law to retain. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our standard backup cycles shortly thereafter.
Revoke Google Access. You can disconnect your Google Account at any time in the Oun app or via your Google Account permissions page. When you disconnect, we stop all access, revoke our credentials, and promptly delete the Gmail data we have stored.
Disconnect Other Integrations. You can disconnect other integrations in the app at any time, and we stop accessing the connected service.
Access, Correction, and Deletion. Manage your information in account settings, or contact us at contact@oun.homes.
Marketing Communications. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us; we will still send transactional and account-related messages.
Notifications. You can turn push notifications off in the app or your device settings.
Cookies and Local Storage. You can manage these through your browser settings; disabling essential storage may prevent the Services from functioning.
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not use Google Sign-In or Google APIs in any child-directed feature. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us at contact@oun.homes and we will endeavor to delete it.
We may modify this Policy from time to time, and you should review it periodically. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Policy, or provide notice as required by law. If we change how we access or use Google user data, we will notify you and obtain your consent before the new use takes effect.
Questions about this Policy, or requests to exercise your choices, can be sent to contact@oun.homes.
